Hot on the trail of her appearance as Australia's official Artist in Residence at the 2005 Australia Day Showcase in Seoul Korea in January, Australian Artist Kendall has just come home from a sell out exhibition in Singapore.
Kendall, attracted a frenzy of attention from both the public and the media. As well as selling out the entire exhibition, Kendall was commissioned by art lovers to provide an additional 12 paintings and was invited back to Singapore in June.
The buyers in Singapore were particularly attracted to Kendall's bright colours, especially tropical flowers and still life.

Tourism Australia invited the flamboyant Artist to paint as part of an Australian Showcase event called "The Best of Australia" in Singapore March 10-20th at Raffles City Hall. Kendall was joined by some great Aussie brands such as Country Road, Done Australia and Bonds.
Kendall was also commissioned to create a limited edition shirt for Country Road featuring one of her famous cityscape paintings and was asked to create a backdrop for the Australian Fashion Extravaganza.
Anne Stockwell-Dewar of Stockwell Art Services - Kendall's Australian Agent, said "The team from Tourism Australia and I couldn't believe it, every time Kendall picked up her brush, people would gather 20 deep to watch her paint".
Kendall mesmerized art lovers when she painted and created piece after piece of art on location. Now with an invitation to re-visit Singapore in June this year Kendall could almost call Singapore her second home in 2005.
Media attention throughout Asia. Kendall has been featured in newspapers, lifestyle magazines and television, including a publication with a circulation of over 2 million copies in China.

Artist Kendall Perkins was stuck on the tarmac at the Mumbai International Airport when she realised she would not make it back to paint a mural with the kids at the Sunshine Coast Therapy Centre.
October 14, was a wonderful day for the centre and they were very successful in achieving their outcomes with a telethon raising just under $24000 and then the launch party raising just over $7000. This is a great start to meeting budget for 2005 and with the support of the Sunshine Coast the therapy centre is starting to develop a profile in the community.
As well as donating a painting for the launch of the Therapy Centres fundraising campaign Kendall also promised to paint a giant bright colourful mural on a wall at the centre with the help of some of the children. But “Murphy’s Law” prevailed. Kendall had been participating in an event promoting Australia to India with Tourism Australia called “The DownUnder Fest” October 6 to 13th in New Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai.
Then things went terribly wrong. After an exhausting whirlwind tour of the country, and experiencing the earth tremors in New Delhi, Kendall boarded her flight for home, but had to wait due to a Saudi Air 747 over-shooting the runway and digging itself into the tarmac (thankfully no casualties).
There Kendall sat for 13 hours in the plane, watching Kath & Kim re-runs, then airport authorities decided to cancel the flight completely, so it was back to a hotel room in Mumbai for a day.
Kendall was disappointed that she could not make the event at the Therapy Centre but as soon as she could she would keep her promise and paint that mural with the Children. This Tuesday November 8th Kendall is swinging into action and throwing around the paint in her usual flamboyant style.
Kendall has done similar murals at the Children’s ward at the Nambour Hospital and the Sunshine Coast Hear & Say Centre as well as many other organisations throughout Queensland that look after our precious little ones.
On Australia Day 2005, Kendall Perkins visited Seoul representing Australia as Artist in Residence at the "Sense of Australia", Australia Day 2005 Lifestyle Showcase.

Coordinated by Austrade and the Australian Embassy in Seoul, this event will introduce Kendall to a new increasingly affluent market of over 48 million people.
Korea is a sophisticated, discerning marketplace having consumers with high disposable incomes who are prepared to spend increasingly more on imported fashion food entertainment and art. While visiting Seoul, Kendall has been asked to conduct a number of presentations, demonstrations and interviews with key media networks, and to be a special guest at diplomatic functions.
While in Korea, Kendall displayed her highly successful homewares range of products, which has been a sell-out in major Australian retailers such as Myer, David Jones, Pillowtalk and other décor outlets.
In Seoul, Kendall met potential business partners for the distribution of her homewares in Korea. She is excited about introducing her colourful range to a whole new audience and praises the assistance of the Department of State Development, and Austrade who have been instrumental in the co-ordination of this event.
Future proposed activities will introduce Kendall to markets in China, Hong Kong, Japan, USA, UK, Canada and Germany.
